I believe that photographers have certain images that speak to them even though they may not be particularly popular. This is one of those images for me.
I took this shot of Flower Island from Spencer Spit State Park. It was a typical Pacific Northwest winter day with clouds, fog and mist. Basically exactly how I see our islands in my minds eye.
The tech part is one of my bread and butter techniques, a long exposure, shift, stitched panorama. It's one of my favorite features of Canon's tilt shift lenses, the ability to shift left, center and right to capture 3 shots and create a quick panorama.
