A Sweet South End Lopez Island Cabin on Acreage
This little cabin really won me over. I love a small, well done homes and this one checked all the boxes. A south end, northeast facing home with view across Rosaria Straight towards Fidalgo Island and Anacortes. This was a full Real Estate Photography gig with Interiors, Exteriors, Twilights and  Aerial Photography. And quite nice of Mt Baker to poke its head out a cold winter day.
A Log Home Estate with a Beautiful Lopez Sound View
Apparently the theme for my winter / spring was log homes and this one couldn't have been more different the the sweet little cabin. Multiple buildings with a pond and manicured landscape and a glorious Lopez Sound Beach with views to Blakely Island, Decatur Island and Spencer Spit State Park.
"Ferry Book" Advertising
Spring is "Ferry Book" season in the San Juan Islands so I'm aften driving around like crazy trying to capture Real Estate Advertising images between breaks in the weather. Mostly these are exterior shoots and we'll usually follow up with interiors when the weather become more reliable.
A Unique, Formal Home on San Juan Island
Another Washington State Ferries trip to Friday Harbor, San Juan Island for a Real Estate Photography shoot of this sweet like brick home near Roche Harbor. I was very much taken with the Architecture and simple elegance of this little home.
A Mountain top Home on San Juan Island
A stunning mountain top home on Friday Harbor, San Juan IslandIts location just east of Lime Kiln State Park and perched on the top of Mt Dallas yield a panoramic view of well, almost everything. Looking west across Haro Strait is Victoria British Columbia and Vancouver Island. To the south, the Olympic Mountains and glimpses of the San Juan Islands to the east. This was another complete Real Estate Photography shoot with Interiors, Exteriors and Aerial Photography.
An Old Barn Conversion at Richardson
It's a pretty eclectic collection of homes on Lopez Island, varying anywhere from high end architectural inspired creations to manufacture homes and, when I'm really lucky, an old barn. I've driven by and shot this old barn many, many times on my own so I was delighted when I was contracted to shoot it's listing as Richardson is one of my favorite Lopez Island locations with gorgeous views across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the Olympic Mountains. This was another full Real Estate Photography shoot with multiple visits to get Interiors, Exteriors and Aerial Photography.
Fishbay Home with Attention to Details
This was an interest job and a repeat assignment. I was contacted by the owner in 2017 to photograph his property with idea that he would do a For Sale by Owner, FSBO. But in the end he decided to list with one of my regular Real Estate clients who want to selectively reshoot the  Interior with some additional staging. That and add some Aerial Photography. Can't really add much to the sweetness of this south end of Fisherman Bay other to wish I could call it home.
Revisiting a Cabin on the West Side
More and more I'm getting to reshoot homes that I've photographed before and this little west side cabin wins the reward for best before and after. Originally I did the Real Estate Listing Photography, but this time, after an extensive remodel, it was for Vacation Rental Property Photography to use in their AirBNB and VRBO advertisements.
Aerial Imagery
Over the years I've honed my UAV, Drone, kit to improve its quality, reliability and ease of use so I can provide quick and affordable Aerial Photography for my Real Estate, Architectural, Commercial and Advertising clients. And more and more owner are requesting them from my clients. Such was the case for this beautifully landscaped home in the center of Lopez Island.
One That Got Away
This shoot was a bit disappointing. It was a multiple day shoot with Interiors, Exteriors, Twilights, Sunrise and Aerial Photography. The whole shebang. But the owners had a change of heart of decided not to list. To be fair, I can't say that I blame them. This was a sweet home on Lopez Sound with glorious views across Lopez Sound to Blakely Island and Decatur Island.
A Very Unique Lopez Island Home
This is definitely not something I see very often in the San Juan Islands. A very distinctive home which appealed to my eclectic tastes. Clean and simple interiors really make images pop and help make Real Estate Photography more effective for my clients marketing effort. This home cooperated nicely and was a joy to photograph.
A One-of-a-Kind Parcel of Land Perched High Above Shark Reef
I shoot a fair number of vacant parcels of land, but none have compared to this one overlooking Shark Reef and Cattle Pass. With a 180 degree panoramic view across San Juan Channel, you can watch Washington State Ferries sailing into Friday Harbor or watch the sunset over the Olympic Mountains behind the Cattle Point Lighthouse on San Juan Island.
A Pair of Rental Units on Orcas Island
We had a great time shooting these two "mirror image" in Eastsound on Orcas Island. new homes for the owners. This was another Vacation Rental Property Photography assignment for AirBNB and VRBO advertisements.
An Old Lopez Island Farmhouse
I actually go to shoot this home twice this year. Once for the spring Windermere Real Estate - Lopez Island Ferry Book and again in the summer with better weather and some upgraded staging. The owners have a passion for restoring old homes and it sure showed.
Lovely "Row" House in Roche Harbor on San Juan Island
I was out shooting an A-Frame on a cliff on Lopez Island when I received a call checking availability to catch a ferry to Friday Harbor, San Juan Island to shoot this home in Roche Harbor. Even if it wasn't for the Sister of one of my San Juan Island Clients, the answer would have, of course, yes. But what a yes it was. Roche Harbor is a lovely spot on our islands and this home was pretty wonderful.
This was High on My Lists of FAVs for the Year
I just loved photographing this little home. I've got a bit of a minimalist gene in me, so the simple asian inspired architecture and decor really spoke to me. An east side home on Humphrey Head with views of Orcas Island, Obstruction Island and Blakely Island. And close enough to the Lopez Island Ferry Terminal to hear the lovely sound of winter fog horns.
New Lopez Island Family Resource Building and Lopez Fit Remodel
Fall / Winter comes on fast in the San Juan Islands, but a nice break in the weather helped me sneak in one last big job, a new construction / remodel Architectural Photography shoot, of the Lopez Island Family Resource and Lopez Fit gym and fitness center. This was designed by Greene Partners Architects and built by Thomas-Fragnoli Construction.
