The Worry Days!

I usually decide when to haul the boat by the ratio of sailing days to worry days. That is the days that are windy (most days this time of year) compared to the days when storms tear through the anchorage and cause me to worry about the boat. On storm days I typically check on the boat at least once a day and sometimes I row out to check her mooring lines and the bilge. Often it is just a drive by.

This year I received a helping hand from our Chamber of Commerce who put up a bunch of new webcams. Here is last nights picture of Fishbay showing Bolero on her mooring (she is the third boat from the right in the very back).

And here is the current webcam image.

I quite like being able to quickly pull up this image and take a quick look. Certainly not a replacement for my personal checkins but a nice addition.

edit - Not quite the same as even a rainy day picture from the dock.

This it the current forecast for the set of storms currently moving though the northwest. All in all not too bad but since this is Bolero's first experience I worry anyway.
