I added Real Estate to my photographic passion 4 years ago after the experience of searching for a new house. As soon as we started looking I did what lots of buyers do, I signed up for email alerts from Zillow, Redfin and the like. The beauty of services like these are that you get custom alerts delivered to you over your morning cup of coffee. Except, the photography is often missing or so bad you can't tell whether you are interested in the house or not. And in our busy world often that's the end of the relationship right there and you move onto the next listing and take another sip before your coffee gets cold.
So yea, photos are important, I'm sure that's pretty obvious. But timing is also very, very important. Check out these numbers from third party data aggregators and online brokerages from Bay National Title Company from last year (4/1/15).

That's a lot of eyeballs looking for homes. So you want to make sure that when your listing goes live on the MLS and then gets shared to these millions of potential online buyers that your home is dressed for the ball. What's that saying? Oh Yea!
You only get one chance to make a good first impression
Your property only gets one chance to be a new listing so definitely make the best of it by having beautiful images ready when your MLS listing goes "live".
